Communication Equipment
You can access the access point’s system software
configuration menus locally through the unit’s DIAG port,
or remotely through a Telnet session or Web browser.
Local DIAG Port Access
For local access, you need the following:

Third-party communications software terminal
emulation package with Y-modem capability (such as
PROCOMM PLUS by DataStorm Technologies, Inc.).
Install the program according to its user guide.

PC (personal computer) station, which should meet
the requirements outlined in the user guide for the
terminal emulation program.

Cable to connect the PC to the access point’s DIAG
port. The following chart lists cables.
