Smaller fragments may allow successful operation in an
environment with a high level of interference at the
expense of throughput.
Transmit Mode
Transmit Mode modulates the transmit signal and sets the
bits per second. Settings are:
BFSK
QFSK
AUTO
Setting
Description
BFSK
Binary Frequency Shift Keying. Transmits at 0.8
Mbps per second. Data is transmitted by shifting
between two frequencies to represent one bit of 0
or 1. BFSK has extended range over QFSK at the
expense of throughput.
QFSK
Quadrature Frequency Shift Keying. Transmits at
1.6 Mbps per second. Data is transmitted by shift-
ing among four frequencies to represent two bits of
0 or 1. QFSK has better throughput over BFSK at
the expense of range.
AUTO
(default)
Automatically adapts the bit rate to the error
conditions. The transmit mode is automatically
selected for the best range and throughput.
Norm Ack Retry
Norm Ack Retry is the number of times any unfragmented
frame (QFSK or BFSK) is resent unsuccessfully before
fragmenting. The prompt is:
Range is:
