Optimizing Performance

The following section gives you important information on how to get
optimum performance from your DWDM Passive Component Test System.

Spectral Errors

The IQS-12004B DWDM Passive Component Test System uses a
temperature-stabilized Fabry-Perot interferometer and high-precision
absolute wavelength reference component to ensure wavelength accuracy
of the spectral measurements. To ensure that the system is operating to its
published specifications, it is important to respect the recommended
30-minute warmup period and the specified operating environment.

The system is calibrated at EXFO and verified with the NIST SRM 2519 HCN
absorption cell. EXFO recommends a yearly recalibration of the IQS-9401
Wavelength Reference Module.
