7.48. Loosen all six hex cap screws securing the dif-
ferential housing to the ring gear using a 13mm
socket.
NOTE: Make certain the left axle assembly does
not fall out of the differential housing.
7.49. Secure the right axle shaft in the soft-jaws of a
vice. See Figure 7.49.
7.50. Remove the left axle from the differential hous-
ing. See Figure 7.50.
7.51. Remove both ball bearings and the spacer from
the left axle using an arbor press.

7.52. Inspect all components for wear or damage.
