7264 Adjustments

INIVESRAL JOINT POSITION
NOTE: Whenever the drive shaft that connects
the engine to the transmission has been loos-
ened or removed check the clearance between
the end of the universal joint nearest the trans-
mission, and the seal on the hydro pump.
5.1.
Loosen the clamp bolts on the universal joint
using a pair of 1/2” wrenches.
5.2.
Insert the universal joint spacer tool (703-
05104) between the universal joint and the
hydrostatic transmission. See Figure 5.2.
5.3.
Tighten the clamp bolts. See Figure 5.3.
5.4.
The universal joint should not be in contact with
the seal of the input shaft of the hydrostatic
pump. See Figure 5.4.
