26.2. Remove both hex washer head tapp screws
securing the differential actuation mounting
bracket to the left transmission mounting bracket
using a 1/2” socket. See Figure 26.2.
NOTE: Loctite™ the threads and torque them
between 160 and 200 In. Lbs. during assembly.
26.3. Remove the differential pivot assembly. See Fig-
ure 26.3.
NOTE: The chain link is split at the end to ease
installation.
27. BRAKE ASSEMBLIES:
27.1. Remove all five hex cap screws securing each
brake assembly to the axle housing using a 1/2”
socket. See Figure 27.1.
NOTE: Loctite™ the threads and torque them
between 160 and 200 In. Lbs during assembly.
27.2. Remove the retaining ring securing each brake
drum to the axle stub shafts using small retaining
ring pliers. See Figure 27.2.
