14.15. Remove the retaining ring securing the front
input shaft ball bearing in position using large
retaining ring pliers. See Figure 14.15.
14.16. Remove the e-clip securing the 28T auxiliary
drive pinion gear in position using a flat-blade
screwdriver. See Figure 14.16.
14.17. Slowly remove the 5” deep throat bar clamp.

14.18. Remove the front input shaft bearing from the
transmission housing. See Figure 14.18.
14.19. Pull the input shaft assembly forward until it is
resting up against the external retaining ring.
See Figure 14.19.
NOTE: The input shaft assembly will not fall out
of the transmission.
