6.14. Inspect all of the components for wear or dam-
age. See Figure 6.14.
6.15. Place a suitable drain container below the left
final drive.
6.16. Remove all four hex bolts securing the left final
drive’s pinion gear assembly to the left axle
housing using a 14mm socket. See Figure 6.16.

6.17. Remove the left final drive assembly.
See Figure 6.17.
NOTE: A brass drift and hammer may be
needed for removal.
6.18. Place the left final drive assembly on a work
bench.
6.19. Remove the left final pinion gear from the left dif-
ferential shaft. See Figure 6.19.
6.20. Remove the left o-ring from the left differential
housing.
