12.5. Remove the locking tab.
NOTE: The locking tab locks into the keyway.
12.6. Rotate the hex nut onto the auxiliary pump’s
input shaft until it is even with the end of the
shaft. See Figure 12.6.
NOTE: This is to protect the threads.
12.7. Remove the 32T auxiliary drive gear from the
auxiliary pump’s input shaft using a large,
pitched chisel, long drift punch and hammer.
NOTE: Apply pressure to the front of the 32T
auxiliary drive gear and quickly rap the center of
the pump’s drive shaft.
12.8. Inspect the components for wear or damage.
See Figure 12.8.

12.9. Remove both low head cap screws securing the
auxiliary pump to the transmission housing using
a 3/16” Allen wrench. See Figure 12.9.
NOTE: Loctite™ the threads and torque them
between 160 and 200 In. Lbs.
12.10. Remove the auxiliary pump. See Figure 12.10.
NOTE: The key will be removed with the pump.
12.11. Inspect the o-ring for wear or damage.
NOTE: It is recommended to replace the o-ring.
12.12. Inspect the key for wear or damage.
