22.7. Remove one internal retaining ring securing one
of the short cross shafts in position using small
retaining ring pliers. See Figure 22.7.
22.8. Push the short cross shaft across the differential
pinion block and into the second short cross
shaft.
22.9. Remove one short cross shaft using the second
cross shaft and an Allen wrench.
22.10. Remove the differential pinion block and 10T
miter gears.
22.11. Remove the right 14T miter gear. See Figure
22.11.
22.12. Inspect the needle bearing for wear or damage.
22.13. Inspect both remaining internal retaining rings.
22.14. Inspect all of the components for wear or dam-
age. See Figure 22.14.
22.15. Inspect the differential carrier and right ball bear-
ing for wear or damage. See Figure 22.15.
