DETENT ADJUSTMENT
NOTE: There are detent balls within the trans-
mission that make positioning of the PTO control
lever and positioning of the gear selector lever
more positive.
• If either of these controls does not “click” into
position, the detent for that control may be
adjusted too loose.
• If either of these controls is difficult to move,
the dent for that control may be adjusted too
tight.
• If proper adjustment does not have an effect,
and the linkage is working as intended, refer to
the TRANSMISSION section of this manual.
NOTE: Detent adjustment is the same for both
controls. Only the location is different.
4.1.
The PTO detent is located on the right side of
the transmission housing, roughly 6” above the
mounting bracket for the hydraulic lift cylinder.
See Figure 4.1.

4.2.
The gear selector detent is located further for-
ward on the right side of the transmission hous-
ing. It is accessible through a hole in the frame
that is directly beneath the slot in the frame
through which the gear selector linkage enters.
See Figure 4.2.
4.3.
Remove the set screw to be adjusted.
4.4.
Clean any sealant or thread locking compound
off of the threads.
4.5.
Apply a small amount of fresh thread locking
compound such as Loctite 242 to the threads of
the set screw.
4.6.
Install the set screw, and tighten it gently until it
bottoms-out.
4.7.
From this point, back the set screw out 1 and 1/4
turns (450 degrees). An eighth-turn (45
degrees) of latitude is permissible to accommo-
date wear and personal preference.
