14.9. Remove the shims from the back of the PTO
clutch assembly. See Figure 14.9.
NOTE: Make certain these shims are installed
during installation.
14.10. Remove the ball bearing from the rear portion of
the transmission housing, at the PTO clutch
assembly. See Figure 14.10.
14.11. Remove the front input shaft’s oil seal from the
transmission housing using a flat-blade screw-
driver. See Figure 14.11.
NOTE: Install the new oil seal last during assem-
bly using a rubber mallet.
14.12. Place the 5” deep throat bar clamp over the
entire input shaft and PTO assembly. See Figure
14.12.
14.13. Position a small wood block between the rear of
the 5” deep throat clamp and the rear of the PTO
clutch assembly.
14.14. Tighten the 5” deep throat bar clamp until ten-
sion is removed from the front retaining ring.
