11.2. Close off the short fuel line with a fuel line clamp.
See Figure 11.2.
NOTE: This prevents fuel contamination.
11.3. Loosen the hose clamp securing the 5/16” fuel
supply line to the straight hose fitting using a pair
of pliers.
11.4. Close off the 5/16” main fuel supply line with a
fuel line clamp.
NOTE: This prevents fuel contamination.
11.5. Remove the short fuel line and main supply line
from the fuel filter assembly.
11.6. Secure the fuel filter assembly.
11.7. Remove both hex washer head self tapping
screws securing the fuel filter mounting bracket
to the tractor frame using a 3/8” socket. See Fig-
ure 11.7.
11.8. Remove the fuel filter assembly and bracket.
12. FUEL RETURN LINE:
12.1. Loosen the hose clamp securing the fuel return
line to the fuel injection pump return fitting using
a pair of pliers. See Figure 12.1.
12.2. Close off the fuel return line using a fuel line
clamp.
NOTE: The fuel return line is smaller in diameter
than the fuel supply line.
12.3. Cap the fuel return fitting at the fuel injection
pump.
13. MUFFLER:
13.1. Remove all four metric hex nuts and lock nuts
securing the muffler to the exhaust manifold
using a 12mm socket. See Figure 13.1.
