7264 Compact Tractor
17. RPM SENSOR:
17.1. Disconnect the RPM sensor connector from the
main wiring harness connector. See Figure 17.1.
18. TRANSMISSION GROUND:
18.1. Remove the hex cap screw securing the ground
wire terminal, dark green wire, and rear seat
support bracket to the transmission housing
cover using a 1/2” socket. See Figure 16.1.
19. MAIN WIRING HARNESS:
19.1. Remove the main wiring harness from the rear
of the tractor.
20. DRAINING THE HYDRAULIC OIL:
20.1. Place a suitable drain container below the front
of the transmission housing.
NOTE: The 7264 hydraulic system contains six
gallons of hydraulic transmission fluid.
20.2. Remove the hydraulic oil drain plug from the
transmission using a 5/8” socket. See Figure
20.2.
20.3. Allow all of the hydraulic fluid to drain.
20.4. Secure the hydraulic oil drain plug using a 5/8”
socket.
21. LIFT CYLINDER:
21.1. Place a drain pan below the hydraulic lift valve.
21.2. Relieve the hydraulic system pressure by mov-
ing the lift handle front to rear several times.
21.3. Mark the hydraulic hoses for proper installation.
21.4. Remove the lift cylinder hose connector from the
90° fitting at the hydraulic lift valve using 5/8”
wrench. See Figure 21.4.
NOTE: Always wear eye protection when work-
ing on a pressurized hydraulic system.
