21.6. Remove the 2000 PTO cover and oil seal. See
Figure 21.6.
21.7. Remove the oil seal from the 2000 PTO cover
using a flat-blade screwdriver.
NOTE: Install a new oil seal with a rubber mallet
and a 1” socket during assembly.
21.8. Remove the 2000 PTO shaft and front ball bear-
ing from the housing.
21.9. Remove the rear ball bearing from the transmis-
sion housing. See Figure 21.9.
NOTE: Make certain the rear ball bearing is
seated during assembly.
21.10. Inspect all components for wear or damage. See
Figure 21.10.
22. DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY INSPECTION:
22.1. Place the differential assembly in a vice with the
65T bevel gear facing up. See Figure 22.1.
22.1. Remove all four socket head cap screws secur-
ing the 65T bevel gear to the differential carrier
using a 3/16” Allen wrench.
NOTE: Loctite™ the threads and torque them to
100 In. Lbs during assembly.
