24.3. Remove the front cover from the clutch assem-
bly. See Figure 24.3.
24.4. Inspect the front cover’s thrust washers and
bearing for wear or damage.
24.5. Remove the main clutch assembly from the rear
clutch housing. See Figure 24.5.
24.6. Remove the thick thrust washer from the center
thrust bearing.
NOTE: The GS thick thrust washer has a cham-
fer on its outer edge that must face away from
the thrust bearing, towards the coil assembly,
during assembly. See Image Below
24.7. Remove the coil assembly from the rear clutch
housing. See Figure 24.7.
