13.2. Remove both hex cap screws and flange lock
nuts securing the muffler to the muffler mounting
bracket using a 1/2” socket and wrench. See
Figure 13.2.
13.3. Remove the muffler.
13.4. Remove the muffler gasket.
14. AIR CLEANER CANISTER:
NOTE: The air cleaner canister will be removed
to allow the muffler mounting bracket to be used
as an engine lifting point.
14.1. Loosen the hose clamp securing the air inlet
hose to the intake manifold using a 5/16” socket.
See Figure 14.1.
14.2. Remove the air inlet hose from the intake mani-
fold.

14.3. Cap the intake manifold and air inlet hose. See
Figure 14.3.
NOTE: This is to keep debris out of the system.
14.4. Remove both hex cap screws securing the air
canister to the muffler mounting bracket using a
13mm wrench. See Figure 14.4.
14.5. Remove the air canister.
