7264 Compact Tractor

TRANSMISSION REMOVAL

NOTE: The 7264 Transmission Removal section
has been technically written to follow along with
the Cub Cadet Compact 7264 Factory School.

HAZARD LIGHTS:

1.1.

Remove the flexible conduit protecting the wiring
harness connectors going to the hazard lights.
See Figure 1.1.

1.2.

Disconnect both harness connectors from each
hazard light. See Figure 1.2.

NOTE: The connectors connect black to black,
and red to green

1.3.

Pull the wiring harness down through the ROPS
mounting assemblies.

ROPS Mounting Assembly

FOLDABLE ROPS:

2.1.

Secure the ROPS assembly from above.

NOTE: A partner to secure the ROPS assembly
would be advisable.

2.2.

Remove all four hex cap screws securing the
right and left ROPS mounting assembly to the
lower ROPS assembly using a 3/4” socket. See
Figure 2.2.

NOTE: Loctite™ the threads and torque them
between 360 and 420 In. Lbs. during assembly.

2.3.

Remove the upper ROPS assembly.

NOTE: The whole upper ROPS assembly will be
removed as one complete unit.
