16.2. Remove the drive spacer from the motor shaft.
See Figure 16.2.
16.3. Pull the motor shaft assembly forward until the
Hi 33T: 17T pinion drive gear can be removed.
16.4. Remove the Hi 33T: 17T pinion drive gear from
the motor shaft.
16.5. Remove the motor shaft assembly from the
transmission housing.
16.6. Remove the rear ball bearing from the transmis-
sion housing. See Figure 16.6.
17. FOUR WHEEL DRIVE ASSEMBLY:
17.1. Remove all four hex lock screws securing the
front cover to the transmission housing using a
1/2” socket. See Figure 17.1.
NOTE: Loctite™ the threads and torque them
between 160 and 200 In. Lbs during assembly.
17.2. Loosen the front cover from the transmission
housing using a large brass punch and hammer.
