Oil change
The oil change interval is every 100 hrs.
NOTE: The first oil change should be preformed at 5 hours.
To change the oil:
1. Remove the cap from the oil drain. See Figure 9.3.
2. Slide a piece of 1/2” i.d. rubber hose onto the drain.
3. Push in on the oil drain and rotate 90 degrees to
open the drain.
4. After all of the oil has been drained, close the oil
drain.
5. Remove the drain hose.
6. Place the cap back on the oil drain.
7. Fill engine with new oil. Use a good quality motor oil
that meets the specifications recommended by the
engine manufacturer.
8. Check the dip stick to verify that the oil is at the
proper level before returning to service.
Oil filter
To replace the oil filter:
1. Drain the oil by following the previously described
steps.
2. Remove the oil filter using an oil filter wrench.
3. Place a light coating of oil on the O-ring of the new
filter.
4. Pre-fill the new filter with fresh, clean oil.
5. Thread the new filter on to the engine. Hand tighten
only.
6. Fill the engine with oil.
7. Test run the engine and check for leaks before
returning to service.
