NOTE: At this point, the brake actuator spring is still
attached to the brake rod from the pedal shaft, and
the brake arm on the transaxle.

Carefully lower the transaxle out of the tractor. See
Figure 6.82.
13.
Move the transaxle forward to make some slack in
the brake linkage. Use the slack to unhook the brake
spring from the brake rod. See Figure 6.83.
