NOTE: When turning on the server again, press the power
button at least 10 seconds after the power button was last
turned off. If the server is switched on again within 10
seconds after it was switched off, it may cause malfunction of
the server.
When connecting the server to peripheral devices for use,
install the peripheral devices before turning the server on.
Turning on the server in the usual process
Usually turn on the server according to the following procedure:
1 Check that all of the peripheral devices such as a display unit,
keyboard, mouse, etc. are correctly connected to the server.
2 Check that all the power cables are connected to a grounded
AC wall outlet or to an uninterrupted power supply (UPS).
3 Turn on the display unit.
4 Press the power button.
Make sure that the power indicator (
) lights up green.
Turning on the server by the “Wake On LAN” function
This server has the “Wake On LAN” function that the server can
be started up by a client who is in connection with the network.
NOTE: BIOS setting using BIOS setup utility is required to
enable the "Wake On LAN" function.
