Server Setup TooL, onto the floppy disk drive, and then press
the key.

4 When the following message appears, select “Adaptec

Ultra320 SCSI Card (Win XP/Server 2003 IA32)” and then
press the key.

If there are no other SCSI drivers to be added, then continue to
install Windows Server 2003, following the instructions that
appear on the screen.

Procedure after installation of the Windows Server 2003 Server

After the installation of the Windows Server 2003 is complete,
follow the procedure mentioned below:

Changing the Bootup Order

Use the BIOS setup utility to return boot sequence order to the
default. Press <-> to move “CD-ROM Drive” to a lower order
in the boot sequence than “+Hard Drive”.

See “Changing the boot sequence” on page 181.

Setting up the Physical Address Extension

When more than 4 GB of system memory is mounted on this
server and you run Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition,
use the following settings to enable memory capacity greater
than 4 GB.(If mounted memory is 4GB or less, this setting
need not be made.) To enable this setting, restart the server.

1 Start Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition, and log onto

Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition as the Administra-
tor(or a user having equivalent rights).

2 Select “Start” - “Run...” and execute the following to activate

the “Notepad”:
notepad c:\boot.ini
