Creating driver disks
To manually install Windows 2000, you need to copy a driver to a
floppy disk first, using the Server Setup TooL.
Start the Server Setup TooL, select “Utilities” - “Create Floppy
Disks,” and copy the following driver to a floppy disk.
™ Adaptec SCSI Windows Server 2000 Driver (1 disk)
™ Intel 1Gbps LAN Windows 2000 Driver(1 disk)
™ Intel 100Mbps LAN Windows 2000 Driver(1 disk)
Changing the boot sequence
Before starting the driver installation procedure, use the BIOS
setup utility to change the CD-ROM drive’s order in the boot
sequence, enabling the CD-ROM to boot the OS (operating
system).
Follow the steps below to change the boot sequence.
1 Press in the POST screen to start the BIOS setup utility,
then select “CD-ROM Drive” from the boot menu.
2 Press <+> to increase the CD-ROM drive’s order in the boot
sequence.
Press <+> to move “CD-ROM Drive” to a higher order in the
boot sequence than “+Hard Drive”.
3 Press , then to end BIOS setup.
When you press , the changes are saved, and the system
restarts.
