Configuration Setup
Your server is configured when shipped from the factory.
However, you may need to reconfigure the server if you add or
remove devices.
BIOS Setup Utility
The BIOS Setup Utility is a utility program that allows you to set
passwords, hard disk drives, and other peripheral devices
connected to the server.
The settings that you make with the BIOS Setup Utility are stored
in a special memory called CMOS-RAM, so that they will be
protected against erasure by the internal battery when the server is
switched off.
Once you set up the server, you do not need to change its settings
except when you add or remove devices, including expansion
cards. However, the settings you made with the ‘BIOS Setup
Utility’ will revert to their default settings if the internal battery
goes dead or it is replaced, therefore you should take note of the
settings you made yourself.
