COPY
Syntax
copy filename1.ext filename2.ext
Parameters
filename1.ext The name of the file to be copied.
filename2.ext The name of the new file.
Description
This command copies an existing file into a new file. The new filename
must be a valid filename between 1 and 16 characters long. Valid
characters are lowercase letters (a–z), uppercase letters (A–Z), digits (0–
9), and the characters ~ ’ @ # $ % ^ & ( ) _ - { }. Invalid characters are ! * + =
“| \ [ ] ; : ? / , < >.
Three-letter file extension, ext, can be any of the following: .cer, .cfg,
.key
and .csr. The extensions and their corresponding file types are
shown in Table 1.
The original file and the new file must have the same extension.
Example
The following command creates a copy of a configuration file:
copy admin.cfg newadmin2.cfg
