LOGGING SHOW
Syntax
logging show
Parameters
None.
Privilege Levels
Administrator, read-write, and read-only.
Description
This command displays the status of the event log and the syslog client,
as shown in Figure 20.

The fields in the EventLog Information section are:
Status - The status of the event log. A status of Enable signifies the
event log is storing event messages and a status of Disable indicates
the event log is not storing messages. To set this value, refer to
“LOGGING ENABLE EVENTLOG” on page 127 and “LOGGING
DISABLE EVENTLOG” on page 125.
Severity Level - The severity level of the messages displayed by the
event log and sent to a syslog server. The severity levels from highest
to lowest are Critical, Major, Minor, and Event. The affected messages
are inclusive of the selected severity level and all levels above it. For
example, the Event severity level, the default setting, encompasses all
levels and so all event messages, while a setting of Major selects just
the Critical and Major messages. To set this value, refer to “LOGGING
SET EVENTLOG” on page 129.
