The Fibre Channel tab is divided into an upper pane and a lower pane. The upper pane displays
a summary of all fibre channel ports in the system. The lower pane displays detailed information
about a single port selected from the upper pane.
Upper Pane
The upper pane can be filtered to display Fibre Channel Summary and Settings information.
When Summary is selected, the following information is displayed:

Column
The port location in node:slot:port format.
Position
World Wide Name of the connected device.
WWN
The state of the port. See
“System and Component Status Icons” (page 41)

State
Port firmware mode setting. Ports in Initiator mode are connected to drive cages and
ports in Target mode export to hosts. Suspended mode is for target ports that have not
yet been initialized by the system (rare). Peer mode is for Ethernet ports.
Mode
Type of connection (Private Loop, Public Loop, or Point-Point).
Topology
Rate that data can be transferred over the port (1 Gbps, 2 Gbps or 4 Gbps). When
there is no specified value, no connection exists.
Rate
Identifies which Fibre Channel classes of service are enabled (2, 3, or 2/3). 2/3
indicates that both Class 2 and Class 3 are enabled.
