CAUTION:

When using Netscape

®

or Mozilla™ in a Solaris™ or HP-UX environment, you must specify the

following settings to start Remote Web Console.

or Mozilla™ used for Remote Web Console.

To start Netscape

®

or Mozilla™, create the shell script netscapeforSN as follows:

Create a shell script named netscapeforSN, and code the following as appropriate for your environment:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH= path-to-Netscape or Mozilla-supported-by-Remote-Web-Console $*
(Enter a single space after LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.)
The following example shows the coding when Netscape

®

starts under

/usr/dt/appconfig/netscape/netscape

:

#!/usr/bin/sh

LD_LIBRARY_PATH= /usr/dt/appconfig/netscape/netscape $*

Specify the execution permissions for the shell script netscapeforSN.

Modify the environment variable PATH so that the shell script netscapeforSN is executed by entering
netscapeforSN

on the command line.

or Mozilla™ plug-in.

In the plugins directory for Netscape

®

or Mozilla™, create a symbolic link to the Java™ plug-in file.

For Netscape

®

in Solaris™:

# cd directory-in-which-Netscape-is-installed/plugins

# ln -s /usr/local/j2re1_4_2/plugin/sparc/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so.

For Mozilla™ in HP-UX:
# cd directory-in-which-Mozilla-is-installed/plugins

# ln -s /opt/java1.4/jre/plugin/PA_RISC/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.sl.

After the setup finishes, restart the browser.
For details on the Java™ plug-in, refer to the Sun™ Microsystems web site.

CAUTION:

When using an early version of Remote Web Console, the following restrictions apply:

XP12000/XP10000 with DKC Microcode earlier than 50-04-00:

Failure status is not displayed.

Version information is displayed.

XP1024/XP128 with DKC Microcode SVP version earlier than 21-14-00:

Failure status is not displayed.

Version information is displayed.
