Configuring Module Settings
Up to three optional interface modules can be fitted to the expansion bay of the HMS-4X Main
Station.
Warning:
The interface modules are not hot pluggable. Ensure that the Main Station is
powered down before inserting or removing modules.
The Menu mode > Module Settings are used to set up the interface modules.

Configuring a Four-wire interface module
The following procedure shows you how to configure the Module Settings for a Four-wire
interface module.
To configure the Module Settings for a four-wire interface module:
1)
In Menu mode, select Module Settings.
2)
From the second menu, select one of the two available ports on the two-wire
interface module:
Slot 2/Port A 4W
Slot 2/Port B 4W
Note:
In this example, the four-wire module has been fitted to slot 2 in the
expansion bay. The expansion bay contains three slots.
4W = four-wire.
3)
To associate one of the four available channels with the selected port, or to disable
channels associations:
a) From the third menu, select Channel Assign.
b) From the fourth menu, select one of the following:
• Disabled (default)
• Channel A.
• Channel B.
• Channel C.
• Channel D.
Note:
When linking is enabled, there will be more than four channels.
c) To confirm the selected setting, press the rotary control.
