10.4.1 Displaying RMON Statistics

To display the statistics for any index, proceed as follows:

1. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Index [nn] field at the bottom of the screen.

2. Press the SPACE bar to increment (or press the DEL [delete] key to decrement) the index

number.

3. Press ENTER (neither the RMON Index field nor the statistics will change until ENTER is

pressed).

65 – 127 Octets
(Read-Only)

See the total number of frames, including bad frames, received that
were between 65 and 127 bytes in length (excluding framing bits, but
including FCS bytes).

128 – 255 Octets
(Read-Only)

See the total number of frames, including bad frames, received that
were between 128 and 255 bytes in length (excluding framing bits, but
including FCS bytes).

256 – 511 Octets
(Read-Only)

See the total number of frames, including bad frames, received that
were between 256 and 511 bytes in length (excluding framing bits, but
including FCS bytes).

512 – 1023 Octets
(Read-Only)

See the total number of frames, including bad frames, received that
were between 512 and 1023 bytes in length (excluding framing bits,
but including FCS bytes).

1024 – 1518 Octets
(Read-Only)

See the total number of frames, including bad frames, received that
were between 1024 and 1518 bytes in length (excluding framing bits,
but including FCS bytes).

Index [nn]
(Command)

Enter an index number for viewing statistics. For instructions on how
to use this command, refer to

Section 10.4.1

.

CLEAR
COUNTERS
(Command)

Temporarily reset all counters of a screen to zero to allow the user to
observe counter activity over a period of time. For details on how to use
this command, refer to

Section 3.1.4

.
