After changing sensor types - For example, if you print with reflective mark media
and later switch to gap media, calibration will be required.
You can switch between medias of each sensor type without re-calibrating, as long
as each type had been successfully calibrated previously. In this situation, simply
set the appropriate mode in the
Media
tab.

After changing media types - For example, if you print with a roll of paper
material gap media and later switch to a roll of synthetic material gap media,
calibration will be required.
Calibration is not required when replacing rolls of the same sensor and media type, but
of different label lengths.
Current calibration settings for each sensor type (gap, reflective mark bottom,
reflective mark top) are stored in permanent memory, so you can turn the printer off
and on without needing to re-calibrate.
Note: Continuous media does not require calibration. However, you will need to specify that
you are using continuous media in the Media tab.
