Vivo! Touch User Guide

2

Open the top cover of the Vivo! Touch.

Leaving the cover open exposes the image drums to light. Image drums are
sensitive to light. Never expose image drums to light for more than five minutes
and never expose the image drum to direct sunlight.

3

The LED arrays are located on the underside of the top cover. Use a pre-moistened
alcohol cloth to clean the LED arrays. Gently wipe the cloth lengthwise along each
LED array.

Caution: Do not use methyl alcohol or other solvents on the LED head otherwise damage
to the lens surface will occur.

When you are finished cleaning the LED arrays, let the alcohol dry.

4

Close the top cover of the Vivo! Touch.

Inspecting the Image Belt

After long use, the image belt can become wrinkled or crimped and cause printing
defects. This failure is not displayed on the printer’s touchscreen, but can easily be
checked visually.

1

Turn the printer power off and wait for the LED near the touchscreen to turn
amber. Then unplug the AC power cord from the receptacle.

2

Ensure you have a dark area ready for storing image drums during this procedure.

Caution: Image drums are sensitive to light. Never expose image drums to light for more
than five minutes and never expose the image drum to direct sunlight. Avoid contact with
the green drum inside the image drum unit.
