3 Return to the roll of printed labels. Draw out a length of label material, printed side
up, under the lower mandrel. Bring the material onto the rewinder mandrel.
Peel up the matrix manually, separating the strips of matrix from the labels.
Peel the matrix back toward the QuickPeel tower and lift it up against the top and
bottom label guides, and underneath the cardboard core on the upper mandrel.
Attach the self-adhesive matrix strips to the bottom side of the cardboard core on
the upper mandrel.
Now, return to the length of label material that is resting against the rewinder. You
have already manually pulled up the matrix, leaving only die-cut labels sitting in
their liner. Using a piece of tape, stick this length of label material (with die-cut
labels on liner, matrix removed) onto the top of the cardboard core on the
rewinder's mandrel.
4 Manually crank the up-take roll on the QuickPeel tower at the same time as you
manually rotate the uptake core on the rewinder in the opposite direction. Observe
that the matrix is separating cleanly and is being rewound in the correct location.
Position the plastic rings on the label guides right up against the edge of the matrix
you are about to peel.
