5 Begin by setting the torque adjustment knobs to their lowest setting - two knobs on
the QuickPeel and one knob on the rewinder. On the rewinder, also ensure the
Torque Range knob is set at Normal.
Then, flip the power switch on for the lower QuickPeel mandrel (the mandrel with
the printed labels on it) to the right (as you face the front of the QuickPeel), so that
the mandrel would turn the core clockwise. This will provide back-tension.
Now, turn on the switch for the upper mandrel on the QuickPeel tower. This
should be turned in the opposite direction, so that the mandrel is rotating in the
opposite direction as the lower mandrel. The core should rotate counterclockwise.
Increase the torque on the lower mandrel very slightly. This will provide
back-tension on the bottom roll.
Return to the rewinder. Flip the power switch to the left, so that the mandrel would
rotate counterclockwise.
