Installing Media Profiles
Media profiles are collections of media settings stored in printer memory. They allow
the printer to use various media types.
When you upgrade the system software, your media profiles will be automatically
updated if they are older than the profiles provided in the new system software. You
can also install media profiles at any time with the
Media Profiles
options in the
Firmware
tab.

Obtain a standard or custom media profile file. It will have a “.vtmp” extension.
Copy it to the root directory of a USB memory device.

Insert the USB memory device into a Vivo! Touch USB port.

Touch
Maintenance > Firmware
on the touchscreen.
The current media profile version number will be displayed in this window. If a
custom media profile is installed, its version number will be displayed. Custom
media profiles without a version number will be indicated as not versioned.

Touch
Install Media Profiles
. The Storage Manager window will open.

Select the USB drive and choose
OK
. The Media Profiles window will open.

Select the media profile file to install. Then choose
Execute
.
When the installation is complete, a confirmation message will be displayed and
the media profile version information will be updated.

Remove the USB memory device from the Vivo! Touch USB port.
