Setting up the QuickPeel System

1

Set up the system based on whether you will use standard or alternate operation.

Standard Operation - The standard mode of operation is applicable in most
situations.

If you will use the QuickPeel in the standard configuration, attach the plate
containing the top and bottom label guides to the QuickPeel tower using the
provided wing nuts.

Alternate Operation - In standard operation, if breakage on larger labels or
specific material types occurs, or if labels are peeling up with the matrix, you
can use an alternate method. This method peels closer to the label rewinder.

If you will use the QuickPeel in the alternate configuration, leave the plate
containing the top and bottom label guides not installed.

2

Align the QuickPeel tower and rewinder next to each other on your work table,
with the rewinder on the left and the QuickPeel tower on the right. Be careful to
keep the back flanges (clear plastic disks) in alignment with each other (forming a
straight line when they are placed side-by-side).

3

Plug the power adapters into the accessories, and plug the accessories into an earth
grounded AC receptacle. Press the “Power On” switch on the back of each
accessory.

4

Set the rewinder and QuickPeel torque switches to their lowest setting. There are
two knobs on the QuickPeel tower and one on the rewinder.

Setting up for Standard Operation

1

Load your roll of printed labels with the matrix still in onto the lower spool of the
QuickPeel. Labels should unroll over the top of the roll to the left, toward the
rewinder. Push in until the roll is positioned against the clear plastic label guide.

2

Tighten the red knob clockwise to immobilize the label roll and keep it from
spinning freely.

Place an empty core on the top mandrel of the QuickPeel tower. This empty core
will be used for the matrix take-up. Tighten the red knob on this mandrel as well,
to keep the core from spinning freely.

Place an identical empty core on the mandrel of the finished roll rewinder.
