Locate the green knurled thumbscrew on the other end of the mandrel. Turn it
counterclockwise to unlock the flanges.

Ensure the mandrel is locked in place. Then grasp the top flange and pull it up as
far as it will go. It will stop moving when it almost reaches the end of the mandrel.
Then turn the top flange counterclockwise and remove it (“unscrew it”) from the
mandrel.

Remove the empty core from the mandrel.
