SNM-1010L Data/Control Modem
Revision 0
Specifications
MN/SNM1010L.OM
• CCITT V.35 (Comtech EF Data/Comstream compatible). Sequential only
• CCITT V.35 Intelsat modified. Viterbi only
• Fairchild compatible
• 2^15 -1 Synchronous (IESS-310)
• Modified V.35 (Closed Network Reed-Solomon)
• None
B.3.21.4 Differential
Encoder
The differential encoder takes care of one set of ambiguities due the error correction
codes being transparent.
• On or Off
B.3.21.5
BPSK Bit Ordering
The encoder has the ability to select whether I is the first bit or Q is the first bit in the
symbol word grouping for compatibility with any system. For standard operation Q is
the first bit.
• Viterbi (Standard/Non-Standard)
• Sequential (Standard/Non-Standard)
B.3.21.6
Interleaver (Reed-Solomon Codec)
• 8PSK - Depth 4 (Closed Network, IESS-310)
• Depth 8 (Closed Network, ASYNC)
B.3.22
Continuous Mode Demodulator Specifications
The Continuous mode demodulator:
• Receives the TDM outbound control channel while operating in Control mode.
• Receives user data while operating in the Data mode.
