Setting Items
Perform settings in saving scanned data on the USB flash drive or memory card.
On Scan document screen, press the Settings button to change the scan settings such as the scan size,
resolution, or data format.
Note
Use the
button to select an item and use the
button to specify the setting. To change
the tab, use the
button to return to the position of tab selection and use the
button to
select another tab.
The settings of the scan size, resolution, and data format are retained even if the machine is turned
off.
Tab 1
You can specify the settings of the scan size, resolution, or data format.
1.
Scan size
Select the size of the original on the Platen Glass or in the ADF.
Note
When Document (ADF simplex) has been selected on the document type, only A4,
8.5"x11"(LTR), or 8.5"x14"(Legal) can be selected. When Document (ADF duplex) has
been selected on the document type, only A4 or 8.5"x11"(LTR) can be selected.

Scan res.
Select the resolution for scanning.

Data format
Select the data format of the scanned data.
4.
Orientation
Select the orientation of the original document when Document (ADF simplex) or Document
(ADF duplex) have been selected on the document type and PDF have been selected for the
data format.
5.
Stapling side
Select the stapling side only when Document (ADF duplex) has been selected on the
document type and PDF have been selected for the data format.
