Connectors
Connectors located on top of the monitor receive the following
cabling and components:

IS ultrasonic depth sensor (ADS p/n 106186A)

IS Doppler velocity sensor (ADS p/n 106194A)

IS pressure depth sensor (ADS p/n 3754-0001/0002/0003)

Communication cable for either on-site (ADS p/n 106228A) or
remote (ADS p/n 106227) communications and external power
supply

Air pressure valve (for testing purposes only)
The connectors are keyed to ensure that only the proper sensor or
communication cable can be connected to each port.
Power
The FlowShark IS flow monitor can receive power internally or
externally.
Internal Power
Internal power is supplied to the FlowShark IS flow monitor by an
IS 9-volt battery pack (ADS p/n 106152A) or an IS 12-volt battery
pack (ADS p/n 8000-0043-01/02). The battery pack resides within
the FlowShark IS enclosure and powers operations and sustains the
monitor memory (RAM) through the power supply on the processor
board. The voltage supplied by the IS battery pack is regulated by
the Voltage Regulator board for intrinsically-safe monitor
operation. The user receives a warning when the voltage from the
internal IS battery pack drops below 6.5 volts.
Note: ADS offers a conversion kit (p/n 5000-0780-01) to
upgrade an existing FlowShark IS monitor from a 9-volt
battery pack to a 12-volt battery pack.
