1. Contact a data analyst to collect the data remotely or collect the
data on-site. This will reduce the risk of data loss once the
battery is disconnected.
2. Remove the monitor from the hazardous area.
3. Remove the 4 bolts securing the monitor top and chassis to the
canister.
4. Wipe away any debris or moisture that could enter the chassis
once the inside of the unit is exposed.
5. Using the handle on the monitor top, pull the chassis straight up
from the canister. The battery pack sits at the bottom of the
canister, and has an 18-inch cable that allows the chassis to be
lifted just clear of the canister top.
Caution:
Be careful not to pull the chassis away from the
canister. This could break off the connector from the
voltage regulator PCB.
6. Place the chassis upright next to the canister opening,
disconnect the battery pack, and set the chassis aside.
Note:
Maintain the chassis in an upright position. The
chassis is top heavy and could fall over due to the weight
of the sensor cables and uneven ground surface.
