Note:
Do not drill new holes through the housing for
mounting! This will expose the internal components of the
enclosure to moisture, creating unsafe operating
conditions. It also will void the product warranty. Use only
the mounting holes provided under the corner cover screws
to mount the supply.
2. Verify that the 6-foot AC power cord on the power supply is
suitable for the application. Customer-supplied cabling also
may be used. A cable grip fitting, sized for a 0.125- to 0.375-
inch OD cable, seals the exit for the DC output cabling.
Replace the cable grip fittings to accommodate custom AC
supply or DC output wiring, when necessary.
WARNING:
When hard-wiring to the AC supply, ensure
that the AC source is de-energized and that all applicable
lockout/tagout and other electrical safety measures are
followed.
3. Remove the front cover from the power supply by loosening
the 4 plastic screws.
4. Run the 10-foot external power cable (ADS p/n 5000-0697),
coming from the EMU, through the cable grip entry hole on the
side of the power supply case opposite the AC power cord. If
additional length is required, select an appropriate gauge of
cable for the end run to the power source. If cable splicing is
necessary, use a junction box or other method suitable for
outdoor, wet, and/or buried environments.
5. Terminate the wires from the external DC power cable at the
power supply in the following way:
Connect the –DC In wires from the cable to the –V
terminal in the power supply.
Connect the +DC In wires from the cable to the +V
terminal in the power supply.
