If the equipment is likely to come into contact with aggressive
substances, the user must take suitable precautions to prevent it
from being adversely affected, ensuring that the type of
protection is not compromised.
Aggressive substances include acidic liquids or gases that
may attack metals or solvents that may affect polymeric
materials.
Suitable precautions include regular checks during routine
inspections or confirming from the material’s data sheet
that it is resistant to specific chemicals.
No special inspection or maintenance conditions are required
other than a periodic check.
Units delivered to Europe must bear the following label to
substantiate conformance to ATEX standards as approved by
SIRA Certification Services:

The following EC Type Examination Certificates can also be used
to substantiate conformance to applicable EU laws for IS
equipment:
