10 Dismantling and repairs
Replacing the spring clamping elements
Please note
Use only original parts from Festo when replacing the spring clamping
elements.
1. Exhaust the drive.
2. Move the linear guide into the
mid−position.
3. Use an Allen wrench to unscrew the old
clamping element.
4. Move the linear guide into the end
position.
5. Screw in the new clamping element until it just touches the stop pin of the
rotary unit.
6. Then tighten the clamping element with another 1/2 turn (pre−tension 0.5 mm).
The guide rail is then free of play.
Please note
The specified pre−tension of the spring clamping element is sufficient for
play−free guidance. Avoid unnecessary wear on the linear guide and links due
to excessive pressing force.
