7.3 How to Define the Communication Mode
You can define the communication mode between the print server
and the printer via the 'Port Mode'.
The ’Port mode’ is only available for external print server models
with USB, Centronics, or serial interface.
The following communication modes are available:
• Unidirectional: for unidirectional communication
• Bidirectional: for bidirectional communication with advanced
options for acknowledgment and diagnostics.

Proceed as follows:
1. Start the PRINTSERVER Homepage.
2. Select Configuration – Printer Port.
3. Select the desired mode from the Port mode list.
4. Click Save to confirm.
