Defining SA Templates
An SA template contains information about the authentication as
well as the key exchange between the print server and the remote
server. You can create a maximum of 4 SA templates.
Proceed as follows:
1. Start the PRINTSERVER Homepage.
2. Select Configuration – IPsec.
3. Select Edit rules.
4. Select Edit SA templates.
5. Specify the SA template; see: Table 10
6. Click Save to confirm.

Parameter
Description
Name
Name of the IPsec template.
You can enter a maximum of 16 characters.
Authentication type
Specifies the procedure for the authentication of the remote
server. Two procedures are available:
- authentication via pre-shared key
- authentication via certificates.
(For the installation of certificates into print servers; see:
98.)
Verify certificate
Specifies the type of certificate required for the certificate-based
authentication.
- Disabled: A self-signed certificate is sufficient for the
authentication. (Upon delivery, a self-signed certificate is stored
in the print server).
- Enabled: A root certificate is required for the authentication.
Pre-Shared Key
Specifies the Pre-Shared Key (PSK).
You need the key if the ’Pre-Shared Key’ procedure has been
selected as ’Authentication type’.
You can enter a maximum of 16 characters.
IKE
Specifies the template to be used for the automatic key
exchange.
