7. Enter a port name in the Name field.
8. Select one of the following from the Category field pull-down
menu:
—
User Port if this is an end-station port
—
Service Port if this is a trunk port.
9. Select a speed (10 Mb/s or 100 Mb/s) from the Speed Mode
field pull down menu, If you want to set the port speed
manually. If want the port to autonegotiate, you can ignore
this field.
*Note: This feature is only available for 10/100 TX
modules.
10. Select a duplex mode (half-duplex or full-duplex) from the
Duplex Mode field pull-down menu if you want to manually
set the port’s duplex mode. You do not have to select a duplex
mode if you set the port to autonegotiate.
