1 While your computer is booting, follow the directions on the
screen: “Press F2 to Enter Setup.” (It may be F1 on some
models.)
2 Click Advanced on the Menu Bar.
3 Follow the legend directions to choose Integrated Peripherals
(or Peripheral Configuration on some models).
4 Choose ECP if it is a choice for the mode. Otherwise choose
Bi-directional. (ECP mode will provide the best printing and
scanning performance.)
5 Follow the legend directions to save and exit.

1 At the startup screen (Toshiba in red), press F2 to enter setup.
2 At the Main screen, press > until you reach the Advanced menu.
3 Arrow down to the Peripheral Configuration menu and press
E NTER .
4 Arrow down to Parallel Port and press E NTER .
5 Change the value to Enabled and press E NTER .
6 Under Parallel Port, arrow down to Mode and press E NTER .
7 Change the value to Bi-Directional and press E NTER .
8 Press F10 and E NTER to save and restart.
