Documents stop
feeding in the
middle of copying. The maximum scannable page length is
39 inches (991 mm). If the page is longer,
scanning stops at 39 inches (991 mm).
The minimum scannable page length is
2 by 3.5 inches (51 by 89 mm). If the item
is too small, it may jam inside the scanner
area.
A business card (2 by 3.5 inches; 51 by 89
mm) was fed using the wrong orientation.
If there is no jam, quickly press S TART to
continue scanning. If you do not, the
product assumes a page has jammed and
cancels the job.
If there is a jam, see “Clearing jams from
the scanner area” on page 160 and
resend the job.
If you are copying a document longer than
39 in (991 mm), you can also use the
Sending long pages (page 30) procedure.

The Document
Assistant blinks on
and off on the
computer screen
even when no
document is
loaded in the
document feeder
tray. The HP LaserJet 3150 product is
connected to a parallel port being shared
with another device. The HP LaserJet 3150 product cannot be
connected to the same parallel port on the
computer as another device. You must buy
an additional parallel port to use both
devices.
Copies print on the
wrong size paper. The page size may be set incorrectly. Change the paper size to the size you are
copying. See “Setting the paper size” on
page 154.
Try reducing or enlarging the copies. See
“Reducing or enlarging copies” on
page 74.
Only one copy of a
job printed
although I
specified multiple
copies. The entire document to be copied must fit
into memory, or only one copy prints. Use the Document Assistant to make
multiple copies of large documents.
Break the job into smaller jobs containing
fewer pages.
